About Me

Hello! I’m Lillian Hazen, the heart behind The Nashville Nurturer. Growing up in Nashville, I’ve always been drawn to caring for children and supporting families through life’s big and small moments. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working as a swim instructor, after-school educator, preschool teacher for children with disabilities, nanny, and even a children’s science entertainer. Each experience shaped my approach to care—responsive, joyful, and grounded in each child’s unique needs.

My journey into postpartum support began when I helped my cousin through her postpartum days. I quickly discovered that while my love for children is constant, there’s something profoundly meaningful about supporting the whole family as they adjust, grow, and find their rhythm. Being a postpartum doula is a true privilege—one I approach with care, empathy, and deep respect for every family’s experience.

Now, as a professional sitter and postpartum doula, I bring all of that experience into homes where families are navigating new beginnings. I trained with Nashville’s own Blissful Birthing TN, LLC, hold a degree in Health Science (Summa Cum Laude), and maintain active certification in adult, child, and infant CPR—because safety and peace of mind should never be afterthoughts.

Whether I’m caring for infants, supporting parents through postpartum transitions, or simply being a steady presence during everyday family life, my goal is to nurture both the little ones and the adults who love them. Every family I meet teaches me something new, and being part of that journey is the honor of a lifetime.
